Position Overview:
This position will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management within the healthcare or long-term care sector and a solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies to minimize exposure and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations, including those specific to long-term care.
- Insurance & Claims Management: Oversee insurance programs, manage claims, and coordinate with insurers and legal counsel as needed.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
- Crisis Management: Lead the response to critical incidents and crises, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Legal Liaison: Work closely with legal counsel on risk-related matters, including litigation, contracts, record reviews and regulatory issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure and Paralegal Certification or relevant legal experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the healthcare or long-term care sector.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
