CENTRAL SUPPLY CLERK/MEDICAL RECORDS
- NO license required but needs experience in both CS and MR
Job Responsibilities:
· Maintains established medical record files.
· Files resident information on individual charts.
· Establishes and maintains supplies inventories.
· Receives and distributes nursing supplies.
· Monitors medical and form inventories to assure adequate supply levels.
· Prepares/types correspondence, reports, other documentation for nursing department.
· May prepare and/or submit forms and documentation to and/or from physicians.
- Receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom
- Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders or inventory
- Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- May maintain inventory and other stock records.
- Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment.
- Distributes stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
- Makes adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
- Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- May cut stock to size to fill orders.
- May move or transport materials or supplies to other departments.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Professional Demeanor
- Basic Computer Skills
- Excellent Phone Etiquette
- High School Diploma
