Director of Risk Management
Reports to Chief Clinical Officer
Responsible for analyzing and managing risk management issues by identifying, monitoring and implementing strategies to reduce risk throughout the organization.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Directs and oversees the Clinical Risk Management Program.
- Provides Enterprise oversight and management of PointClick Care Risk Management Module.
- Analyzes risk management data and clinical documentation to identify areas of risk related to falls, injuries, pressure ulcers, etc., and implements effective strategies to reduce the risk of litigation.
- Ensures compliance with HMG Clinical Policies and Procedures.
- Develop and leads on-site, hands on educational activities to enhance the clinical documentation of areas of compliance risk.
- Maintains database of risk management activities and reports monthly facilities progress towards documentation compliance in areas of high risk.
- Collaborates with facility staff and facility management to prevent clinical risk throughout the facility.
- Develops effective working relationships with clinical staff and administrative personnel to facility the delivery and documentation of patient care.
- Collaborates with the Support Services Department in the development of policies and procedures to ensure effective management of resident medical records.
- Provides reports as directed to facilities, regional and corporate staff as indicated.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility experience Required.
- Risk Management experience preferred.
- RN in good standing in states serviced.
- Compact license or willing to be licensed in Texas and Kansas
- Must be willing to travel with overnight stays
